Liquid metal surface finish by Lyons Design

Liquid Metal

Elegant simplicity

Authentic metal finishes for walls, furniture and architectural details. Available in zinc, copper, brass, bronze and more - sleek contemporary or rich antique patinas.

What are liquid metal finishes?

Liquid metal is a real metal coating applied as a paste to virtually any surface — wood, plaster, MDF, concrete, metal or glass. The result is an authentic metallic surface that looks and feels like solid metal. Available in zinc, copper, brass, bronze, beige and black, these coatings bring real metallic character to any space — from Dublin city restaurants to country homes across Ireland.

We transform ordinary surfaces into extraordinary focal points. Whether you're looking for a sleek, contemporary touch or a rich, antique patina, we expertly apply liquid metal to achieve the perfect finish. Each surface is hand-finished by our specialist team — no two are ever the same.

Available metal effects

Liquid Metal Effect
These products produce an extraordinary, authentic metal finish on a wide variety of objects. The finished product is a stunning, luxurious polished metal, guaranteed to impress with its exquisite design finish. It is available in a variety of shades including zinc, copper, brass, bronze, beige and black.
Brushed, Vintage and Shiny Metal Paint Effect
This is an antiqued metal effect with a special finish that gives the look of a burned galvanic metal, thus creating an environment of post-industrial style naturally weathered metal finishes. A special procedure is applied where a patina paint is applied, then carefully removed, revealing the metallic layer underneath, producing a wonderful metallic reflection like those of antiquated metals. Our shiny metal range will transform any surface into a shiny and smooth metallic looking surface. This product comes in a range of colours.
Naturally Oxidised & Corten Rust
With the ability to transform any old or new surface into an authentic rusty surface, this paint effect uses a natural process of oxidisation to change the material into real rust. The base layer of this paint contains real metal and iron particles. An oxidisation solution is applied afterwards, resulting in a plain or colourful real rust, depending on its application.
